Data protection information pertaining to the guest speaker applicant tool for the IFA+ Summit and IFA Next

Data protection has a high priority at Messe Berlin GmbH. The company's privacy policy, which can be found at outlines our general principles for the protection of your personal data. The personal data provided in your guest speaker application is only used for the purposes stated in this privacy policy, which supplements the general data protection statement.

The following types of data are collected from the guest speaker application: company name and applicant's name, applicant's photo, street address, postal code and city, country, telephone number, fax number, email address.

We process your personal data within the framework of the application process to implement pre-contractual measures and, in the event of a signed contract, for the fulfillment of the contract with Messe Berlin GmbH (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter b of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)). To process the application, we forward your data to service providers with whom we conclude order processing contracts. In this case, the service providers are "WE DO communication GmbH GWA" and Dr. Ing. Gudrun Quandel.

If you have given us your express consent, we will use your personal data for the purpose of sending a newsletter (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).

You may claim the following rights of the person(s) affected: The right to access, delete and correct your personal data, as well as the right to restrict processing. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you have a right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority.

Your data will only be stored for the duration of the application process and in case of confirmation, for the duration of the contractual agreement. After expiry of the statutory data storage obligations, your data will be deleted as soon as possible. To the extent it is processed for the substantiation of a contract, personal data is stored for the duration of the statutory commercial and tax retention periods. Insofar as the data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), it will be deleted after receipt of your cancellation.
